Take Viagra exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take it in larger doses or for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Revatio is usually taken three times each day, about 4 to 6 hours apart.
Viagra is usually taken only when needed, 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity. You may take it up to 4 hours before sexual activity. Do not take Viagra more than once per day.
Do not take Viagra if you are also using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems. This includes nitroglycerin (Nitrostat, Nitrolingual, Nitro-Dur, Nitro-Bid, and others), isosorbide dinitrate (Dilatrate-SR, Isordil, Sorbitrate), and isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, ISMO, Monoket). Nitrates are also found in some recreational drugs such as amyl nitrate or nitrite (”poppers”). Taking Viagra with a nitrate medicine can cause a serious decrease in blood pressure, leading to fainting, stroke, or heart attack.

How You Can Keep a Sharp Mind as You Age
As we go through life, we all hope we can maintain good physical and mental health as long as possible. There is not much pleasure in living a long life if our final years are spent in pain and if we lose our ability to think and remember. As much as we may dread suffering physical pain and illness in old age, many of us fear even more the possibility that we might lose our mental capacities and end up completely helpless in a nursing home.
Often the first hint that our memory is starting to lose its sharpness happens around the fifth decade of life. As people enter their middle years, they start to notice more and more frequent lapses of memory, particularly their short-term memory. They may enter a room to do something, and forget what it is. They may be unable to recall the name of someone who used to live next door. And they may start to worry that their forgetfulness is more than just a harmless incident, they worry that it might be the first hint of something far more sinisterperhaps the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Alzheimer’s is the name given to a very serious brain disease in which the brain cells are killed by microscopic plaques and tangled fibers. The parts of the brain needed to form and access recent memories are usually destroyed first. Brain cell destruction spreads to other parts of the brain, causing a loss of function, and eventually death follows.
At present there is no known cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Scientists are racing to learn the cause, or causes of Alzheimer’s, and to find a way to stop the destruction of the brain once it starts. As baby boomers age, millions of them will be at risk for acquiring Alzheimer’s and other serious brain diseases.
Alzheimer’s disease is not the only cause of loss of brain function in elderly persons. There are many other causes that can lead to a diminishment of mental capacity or to outright dementia in later years.
Fortunately, you can learn what the risk factors are which are associated with a higher likelihood of developing problems, and you can take steps to counteract them.
And the good news is: you don’t need to make a choice between looking after your heart, or looking after your brain. In many cases, what’s good for the heart will benefit the brain as well.
High blood pressure is a major risk factor in developing dementia. Not only does high blood pressure damage brain cells directly, but it also increases the risk of stroke, which will lead to the permanent destruction of brain cells. To prevent strokes, have your blood pressure checked regularly, and if your blood pressure is too high, work with your doctor to bring it down to a safe level.
Diabetics are at particularly high risk for developing dementia. If you are diabetic, it is very important to get your blood sugar levels under control.
If you want to protect your brain for the long term, avoid excess alcohol consumption. Long term consumption of more than two alcoholic drinks a day can directly damage brain cells, as well as deplete the body of important nutrients it requires to function, particularly Vitamin B1 (thiamin).
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people suffer brain injuries occur as a result of automobile accidents. Many of these traumas could be prevented or reduced by slowing down while driving, and by wearing a seat belt.
We know that some senior citizens are able to live into their eighies and nineties with their minds sharp and their bodies still spry. Will we be among the lucky ones? Is it just a matter of random luck? Is losing our mental powers as we age inevitable?
The good news is that statistically the odds are on your side. Most people are able to keep their thinking clear as they age unless they develop Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, or diabetes. As long as the brain itself remains healthy, older people can preserve their ability to learn, to think and remember, although it may take them longer to process their thoughts than it used to. And in some forms of mental skills, seniors are actually able to outperform much younger people!
By studying the health habits of senior citizens who have reached old age with their minds and bodies intact, scientists have discovered some of the factors that seem to be associated with better mental functioning in old age.
Based on these studies, scientists believe that some of the factors that influence whether or not you stay mentally healthy in your later years are actually under your control.
There is some evidence that people who have a diet high in antioxidants have lower rates of getting Alzheimer’s. Fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly those that have strong, bright colors, tend to be high in protective antioxidants that help repair damage to the body’s cells caused by harmful chemicals called free radicals.
People who consume greater levels of cold water fish such as salmon, tend to have lower rates of Alzheimer’s disease. There are also vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements that seem to have a protective effect on the brain. Higher intakes of Folic acid are associated with a lower incidence of Alzheimer’s disease.
People who continue learning, who keep on reading, writing, and acquiring new skills tend to be sharper in their mental skills as they age. Scientists think that perhaps learning new things helps brain cells make more connections.
If you want to follow in the footsteps of those who manage to reach their later years with both their bodies and their minds in good shape, make it a priority to eat well, exercise regularly, and get sufficient sleep.
Reduce stress by learning to relax, take pleasure in your family and friends, and find ways to connect with causes greater than yourself. Keep learning, and look for ways to be happy, no matter what your circumstances.

Diet Smart - Walk Away From Your Plate
For so many people, myself included, walking away without finishing what I have on my plate can be difficult. To begin with, we were raised to clean up our plate, right? We weren’t allowed to have dessert until all our meat, vegetables and potatoes were gone…and that has resonated in our minds since childhood.
The truth is that you don’t have to clean your plate - especially, when you’re dieting and not dishing the portions. Take home leftovers and eat them the next day - or simply throw them away - it is ok! Think about it, they are better off in the trash bin than around your waist. Restaurants feel that the larger the portions, the better deal they are giving people. Portions have just gotten completely out of control in recent years. Who needs a three-quarter pound hamburger, fries and a big soda anyway? You’re fine with just a third of that!
If you are eating at home, put less on your plate than you are accustomed to. You’ll be surprised that if you finish it, clean up the kitchen, and go about your business, you won’t have the hunger you may think.
Most people find that when they don’t overeat - which is normally what happens when they eat a full meal at dinnertime - they feel more energetic, have less indigestion, sleep better, and don’t gain weight. If you are not convinced, just try it for yourself - see what a difference it can make to not finish your meal for a while. This time, our Moms and Dads weren’t right - we don’t have to clean our plates.
Here are some tips for eating light when you are out:
- Hungry for a salad? Try a side-salad - or get a full salad with the dressing on the side. Salad dressings are normally the culprit for overdoing the calories at meal time. Eat as many veggies as you want without feeling guilty - especially if they are uncooked.
- Share a meal with someone else at the table - this way, you won’t be tempted to finish the entire dinner by yourself. You can also cut your bill in half - who doesn’t like saving a few bucks?
- Take your leftovers home. Divide your plate in half and ask for a doggie-bag after you’ve finished your first half. Leftovers make a great lunch the next day, and you won’t feel overstuffed.
Making common sense decisions when it comes to treating your body right are as easy as putting down your fork as soon as you are full. You will better digest you dinner, and won’t feel like taking a nap.

Measure Your Progress
An extremely important part of your fitness program is being able to measure your progress.
Body fat testing is not painful, nor is it expensive. You can get it done at most any gym or fitness center.
Simply ask if they have an expert who can measure body composition.
It’s also a good idea to take before and after photos and post them somewhere you’ll see them every day.
But most importantly, measure 5 - 10 different aspects of your progress.
My most successful clients measure everything in their life that’s effected by their weight loss, normally on a simple scale from 1 - 10, such as:
- their daily energy level
- their attitude
- the way they feel when they look in the mirror
- the way they fit into their clothes
- the compliments they get from people
- their level of mental focus
- their waist, hips, and thigh measurements
- their body weight
- their body-fat level
- their endurance in their workouts
- etc, etc, etc…
Make a long list of ways you can measure your progress - but be sure to include things that are truly important to YOU. If having loads of energy is important to you, than you should be measuring your energy level every day to see if your diet and/or workout routine are doing their job.
On the other hand, if you already have a lot of daily energy, than you might not want to measure that - you might prefer to measure other things that are more important to you at the stage of life your currently at.
Take time to design your list, then chart your progress in a daily journal every day for each of the categories on your list. Then take an average for the whole day, and write that average at the top of your page.

How to Create Hip, Mature and Lush Harmonies
Copyright 2005 RAW Productions
Rarely is a chord played with its tones contained in a single octave, the root on the bottom, the third in the middle, and the fifth on the top.
Usually chords are “voiced!”
This basically means that the positions of a chord’s tones are scattered over the keyboard. The tones may be altered, doubled, added to, missing, and so forth.
There are a great variety of possibilities available in voicing chords. Voicing chords properly is an art within itself. Using the correct voicing techniques in your playing will give your improvisation a “hip,” mature and full sound. Chords played in root position just does not seem to do the job when playing Jazz, Rock, Pop, Blues, Gospel and “Smooth Jazz” piano.
Learning and mastering good voice leading techniques in your playing is not difficult if you just follow some simple rules.
1. The most important notes in any chord is the 3rd and the 7th. The 3rd of the chord defines whether the chord is a major or minor chord. The 7th of the chord will define whether the chord is a dominant or major chord.
Usually the bass player will play the root and fifth. The root and fifth are not essential tones and can be completely left our from your chord
progressions. If you must use the root and fifth try using it in your right hand, not your left. You should add your “color” tones in your right hand.
2. When you are taking a solo and not “comping” (accompanying) for another soloist you should play your chord voicings in your left hand, so that the right hand can be free to improvise, do fills, double the left hand, add extensions, etc.
3. The range of your voicings is also very important. A good rule of thumb to remember when voicing your chords, is to always try to voice
your chords around middle C. Keeping your voicings around middle C will sound full and clear. Limits of approximately an octave above or below will assure best results by preventing the voicing from assuming a quality of thinness or muddiness.

Break the pattern of eating for comfort: how to deal with emotional eating issues
Emotional eating is eating for reasons other than to provide
needed fuel and sustenance to your body or in response to
hunger. Food can provide a feeling of comfort and eating is
often used to address emotional problems rather than in response
to hunger.
“Depression, boredom, loneliness, chronic anger, anxiety,
frustration, stress, problems with interpersonal relationships
and poor self-esteem can result in overeating and unwanted
weight gain.”
It is imperative that you recognize the signals that indicate
eating for emotional comfort and develop a coping strategy to
break this pattern. Let’s face it, eating for emotional reasons
will likely cause substantial unwanted weight gain which may
only reinforce whatever emotional problems you may already be
dealing with.
Be conscious of the motivation that causes you to reach for
that bag of processed cookies or sugar drink. If you are aren’t
eating for nutrition and/or to assuage normal hunger, you are
going to weigh yourself down with unwanted pounds and negatively
impact your health. As you consume food, categorize the action
and ask yourself whether you are eating to meet emotional needs
or true nutrional needs. If the former, take a time out and deal
with it before continuing.

Baby scans - babyultrasound.co.uk
The method know as three dimensional ultrasound scanning is used during early pregnancy, it provides 3d images of the fetus. Most of the time the ultrasound images are quickly collected and combined to produce a “4d ultrasound”.
Three dimensional scans works in a similar manner to the normal ultrasound methods except that the ultrasound pulses are directed from multiple directions. The ultrasound pulses are reflected back then captured to provide information to construct a 3-dimensional picture in very much the same way as 3d pictures. 3d ultrasound was started by stephen smith and olaf von ramm at duke university.
It’s important to understand that sonologists everywhere have always conjured 3d pictures of anatomy or pathology in their minds while doing their 2d scans. However, until recently it was difficult to do this kind of reconstruction on patient data acquired using ultasound scanning. The advent of 4d baby scans for the first time allowed us a peek into the brain of a sonologist and allowing us to reconstruct the images on the ultrasound machine.
The 3d/4d ultrasound image should utilize ultrasound energy following the same limits as conventional 2d ultrasound to create the 3d images. There is no data to suggest harm due to 3d ultasound scanning, its use in none medical situations should be undertaken with an understanding of the risks that exist.
