There’s Only One Way to Achieve Your Goal
If you’re looking to lose weight, build muscle, get fit or whatever you goal may be, I’d like you to go in a straight line towards that goal, whatever it is.
If you go in a straight line you are going to get to your goal because in this world where our inner spirit and soul is screaming to be free and screaming for us to pursue our own genuine happiness, there really aren’t any obstacles except the terrible phobias, fears, imaginary pressures and discomforts we perceive, that plague our fragile minds!
It give me chills just thinking about how fragile my mind is.
This past week I’ve been practicing avoiding sugary sweets, thinking of the straight line whenever I think about desserts and ice cream and cakes. I want to stop adding those to my diet because I know they are the quickest way for me to get fat.
So that means avoiding them is the quickest way for me to get lean!
I remember this one friend of mine who wanted to be a model. He was very skinny and muscular in all the right places.
If you would have asked me how he got that way all I could tell you maybe was he had a membership to a gym. But this is not all he had going on.
His mind was set on his goal and he practiced diligently.
One day the health food store we worked at took us all out to an Italian restaurant. Since the store was paying we were all loading up on beer and fatty Italian food. I remember my friend and co-worker sitting there without eating one thing.
I asked him why he wasn’t eating and he said he was on an all organic diet. That meant since the restaurant did not serve ANY certified organic foods he could not partake.
I elbowed his shoulder and told him to try a fried mushroom in oil or something and they way he said “No way” was so convicing I didn’t ask him again. In fact it almost made me not eat it!
He obviously had trained his mind to think of any food that wasn’t part of his diet as a distraction from getting to his GOAL of having a model’s body.
The last I heard of that guy was he was working in Hawaii as a horse back riding guide along the beaches. I imagine when he interviewed for that job the people in charge said, “This guy would look great on a horse!” and probably attract many tourists to their business.
Now I’m not saying we all need to look and be just like him. He’s just the brightest example I can think of in realizing that less distractions on your journey, the less time it takes to get to your goal!
Thanks and have a successful day!!!

Tips To Select Proper Motherboard
Selecting motherboard is really simple. As name suggests “Motherboard” acts as a protective mother of CPU, RAM and other add on cards since these
components stand firmly on motherboard.
Number of devices have been integrated on motherboard
over a period of time. Now a days motherboard with onboard features is more popular in Branded PCs. Onboard integrated peripherals are offered by many branded PC manufacturers to
provide you latest technology if you buy a system from
a big computer manufacturer recently.
It is recommended to select motherboard with maximum
number of ports preferably with 2 serial, 1 parallel
and 4 USB ports. Most of the recent devices have USB
port. Also check the upgradation options such as
memory support and number of available PCI slots etc.
Technology changes so rapidly that manufacturers add
the new features such as serial ATA, USB 2.0 and RAID
on the motherboard to stay ahead of the competition.
Many manufacturers even provides FM radio on the
motherboard to survive in the race making it fully
entertainment machine.
Important Motherboard Tips:
1) Do the survey by reading the reviews on
motherboards and then look for either same motherboard
or compare it with it’s competitors product in the
market.
2) Don’t buy the costliest motherboard if you are not
going to use additional features. Always check cost to
benefit ratio and make the selection just by assessing
the utility value.
3) If you are dedicated gamer or fan of overclocking,
verify whether the space around CPU is spacious enough
for you to install a larger heat sink-fan combination
for cooling. Go for motherboard, which has the
facility to overclock FSB in steps of 1 MHz and core
voltage adjustment.
4) Confirm that chipset on the motherboard is
compatible with the speed of the processor and speed
of FSB. It is very important to check the
compatibility to improve the system performance.
5) Select feature rich motherboard for future up
gradation. Also ensure that it has enough PCI and
memory slots for future expansion.
6) If planning for expensive motherboard go for the
motherboard with onboard video chipset and an AGP
slot. Don’t forget to check whether AGP slot supports
latest transfer rate.
7) Also see whether motherboard has onboard sound and
integrated Ethernet.
Check the type of memory that supports motherboard.
9) DDR RAM is the most popular option today. Most
motherboards have at least two slots. But expensive
motherboards have 4 slots. The total amount RAM you
can install is also dependent on the motherboard
chipset.
10) The smooth transfer of data without errors is the
most important function of the chipset. This function
of the chipset decides overall performance of the
system. That is why the maximum speed a processor that
the chipset supports is very important. In case of
future upgrades you will need to change only the
processor. This will save your time and money.

Opal Jewelry — Your Own Personal Piece of Rainbow
Opal is a magnificent gemstone whose shades encompass virtually every hue in the color spectrum. The play of color is different on every stone, and its shimmering hues gave rise to the word ‘opalescent.’ Because it is such an entrancing and unique gemstone, it is no wonder that opal jewelry is very popular among collectors and fashion enthusiasts.
Opal is the birthstone for October and its history is peppered with superstitions and beliefs that it caused both good luck and bad luck. In Europe, it used to be thought of as the ‘official’ stone of thieves and robbers. One of the greatest contributors to the myth that opal jewelry causes misfortune is a misreading of its depiction in Sir Walter Scott’s 19th-century novel ‘Anne of Geierstein.’
However, many cultures associate the opal with white magic and good fortune. The ancient Romans used opal jewelry as talismans and for them, it symbolized purity and hope. The ancient Greeks, on the other hand, believed that it gave the wearer the abilities to prophesy or foretell the future. It was also thought to bring luck to the wearer.
The popularity of opal jewelry is on the rise. Although it is classified as a semi-precious stone, the black opal can cost as much as a diamond. Opals can also range in price, depending on their color. Generally, red opals are the most expensive while blue opals are the least. Also, doublet or triplet opal jewelry, or a piece of opal that is sandwiched between two other materials is less expensive than solid opal pieces. Set in gold or silver, or embellished with other gemstones, there is a wide variety of opal jewelry to choose from.
Men and women throughout time have been fascinated and captured by the iridescent colors of opal jewelry. Bad or good luck notwithstanding, these multi-colored gems are worthy additions to any wardrobe. A person cannot be blamed for thinking that wearing an opal necklace, earrings, bracelet or ring is somehow just like having a piece of the rainbow close to the skin.

What to Eat in Singapore (Part 1) - Authentic Malay Food
Food! Oh yes, let’s talk about food! Surely, this is a topic that will cause a lot of us to drool!
Singapore, also known as “The Lion City”, is located along the equator and separated from the southern tip of the Peninsular Malaysia by the Strait of Malacca. A country in Southeast Asia and a multi-racial society, it is not difficult to observe that Singaporean cuisines are a fusion of Malay, Chinese and Indian foods.
Eating is a favourite pastime for many Singaporeans and eating-places are almost everywhere in Singapore. Lunch, dinner and afternoon-tea (or hi-tea) buffets are served in most hotels. However, if you are looking for local delights that are of a more economical value, try out the food centres and eating outlets (what is known as the coffee shop or kopitiam) in the residential areas.
For a start, let’s talk about Malay food.
You can find Malay cuisines in most eating-places in Singapore. However, if you are keen to immerse yourself in just Malay cuisines and nothing else, visit Geylang Serai, the cultural heart of the Malay community in Singapore.
One of the characteristics of Malay food is that it is often hot and spicy. Standby a glass of sugarcane or coconut water if you have not tried any Malay or Indonesian cuisines. Be assured that the cold water could save your tongue from burning!
– Satay –
String through bamboo skewers or sticks, marinated pieces of meat are barbequed over charcoal fire. Satays come in varieties of meat - chicken, beef, mutton, pork and even seafood. Satay is dipped into a sauce before it is eaten. If you are not used to spicy food, use the sauce moderately or you will run the risk of burning your taste buds! If spicy food is a no-no for you, forget about the satay sauce. The satay tastes just as nice on its own! Besides the sauce, satays are also eaten with cut onions, cucumbers and “ketupat” (or Malay rice cakes).
– Nasi Lemak –
Rice that is cooked with rich coconut milk and pandan leaves, Nasi Lemak is a popular Malay dish in Singapore. Eaten with fried ikan billis (or anchovies), nuts, egg and fish, Nasi Lemak goes well with a specially made chilli paste. Skip the chilli paste if it is too hot for you. You can make your own Nasi Lemak combinations in most Nasi Lemak food stalls. Side dishes like luncheon meat, fried chicken wings and fish cakes go very well with this Malay coconut rice too.
– Laksa –
Beehoon (or rice noodles) soaked in rich, spicy soup, is another must-eat in Singapore. The main ingredients of the soup are lemon grass, shrimp paste, coconut milk and of course not to forget the red, hot chillies! Served with half-cooked clams, shredded chicken, tofu (or beancurd), bean sprouts, nuts and hard-boiled egg, its aroma excites the taste buds of many Singaporeans. If you are game for real hot stuff, ask for sambal chilli paste to be added to your laksa. This will surely bring its good taste to a greater height!
There are many more Malay cuisines in Singapore that I have not covered in this article. Try them when you are here. If you ever fall in love with the Malay cuisines, tell your friends just exactly how “sedap” the food is. “Sedap“, the Malay way of saying delicious!

Sell YOU With Your Small Talk (Yes You Can)
Want to build a relationship — sell yourself for a job — get ahead — make a sale?
Your ’small talk’ is crucial.
Everyday conversation can make or break you in personal relationships and in the business world. Sadly, most people don’t realize how important small talk is, nor do they try to do better.
That’s a shame, because anyone can easily develop great small talk skills.
Just how important is small talk?
A Stanford University School of Business study showed its impact on business success. It tracked MBA’s 10 years after graduation, and found grade point averages had no bearing on their success — but conversation did. Most successful were those who could make conversation with anyone — from strangers, to secretaries, to bosses to customers.
Small talk impacts your success in ‘personal’ relationships because it can shape how others see you in terms of intelligence and confidence. People tend to see good conversationalists as more intelligent and confident.
Other research — to find the characteristics of the ideal person — has shown confidence and intelligence are the most important factors for about 60% of respondents.
Despite the importance of small talk, most people don’t do it well. Shyness is one reason. Others range from not knowing how to start a conversation to not having anything to say.
But all it really takes to be good at small talk is a simple strategy.
THINK AHEAD
You will never have a conversation in a vacuum. It will always have its own context and environment. Think ahead about conversations you are likely to have — even those casual encounters that may happen because of where you will be on a given day.
HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY
Make sure you have ’something to say.’ Do a little research. Read the newspapers. Find interesting things to talk about — serious or humorous — on the subjects that come up in everyday conversation - careers, sports, the weather, money, kids, politics, etc.
ASK QUESTIONS
This is critical. A conversation takes two and questions help BOTH you and the other party. Ask someone a question, and you get them ‘engaged.’
LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND
This strategy step requires you to, not only listen to how others answer questions, but to ‘understand’ and adapt.
ADAPT
Let’s assume you are a salesperson and, when you enter the new prospect’s office, you alertly notice a picture of him standing in front of a sign saying ‘Michigan State University.’ You say, ‘Oh, I see you went to Michigan State.’ The prospect replies, ‘Yeah, I went there on a football scholarship.’
And you reply, ‘Oh, I went to Boston University, myself. What was your major?’
Wrong follow-up question! The prospect ‘volunteered’ information important to him (football scholarship). You should have ‘adapted’ . . . following up with something like, ‘Oh, what position did you play?’ This could lead to a whole series of questions, increasingly ‘engaging’ the prospect.
When you successfully apply this simple strategy, you create ‘rapport’ - a feeling of trust and liking. This can cause others to think of you in positive ways:
‘Personal’ friends or personal friends-to-be:
‘This is an interesting, entertaining and witty person — the kind of person I like to have around me.’
Employers or potential employers:
‘This is a person who would fit in here — a person who can relate well and get along well with others.’
Customers:
‘I’m comfortable with this person. This is the kind of person I’d like to do business with.’
Clearly, small talk is crucial to you. You owe it to YOU to do it well.

“A Circle of Dreams” Author Annie Rogers: Book Review
A Circle of Dreams
Annie Rogers
Bivens and Jensen Publishing (2006)
ISBN 0977018318
Reviewed by Paige Lovitt for Reader Views (5/06)
It was such a pleasure to read this sequel to “A Dream Across Time.” The husband and wife writing team that composes Annie Rogers have done a wonderful job writing another paranormal romance. When I read the first book, I really felt like I was on the island of St. Lucia with these characters. In “A Circle of Dreams” I felt like I had returned to the island and was visiting close friends. The characters feel so real to you, that they do feel like they are alive.
The story returns to the island of St. Lucia where Jamie and Andre Demontagne now have three children. Each child has a special paranormal gift. The youngest child, Philippe was named after an ancestor who had been lost, as a child, during the French Revolution, two hundred years before. The ghost of his mother, Anne-Cecile Diamont confuses this child with the one that she lost. As Philippe is being pulled into the past, his family fights to save him. His sisters use their special gifts to try to keep him in the present.
The paranormal touches in the story keep it really interesting; however, there are also real present day issues such as the lagging romance between Jamie and Andre. As they deal with the crisis involving their child, they also have to deal with making their relationship work around their modern day lifestyles, such as both holding two busy careers and parenting. Their children are precocious and adorable. I laughed out loud at some of their exploits. The extended family and friends around them also add a great deal of richness to the novel. I missed them and was so glad that they were included in this story.
This second novel in the Demontagne Saga stands well on its own. I would recommend reading “A Dream Across Time” first, but it is not necessary, as the authors manage to catch you up on the story without having to go back. You really don’t want to miss out on either!

Advantages Of Wood Deck Railings
For Tranquility Indoors - Use Wood Railing
Wooden railing is the first choice for any owner or the
builder as the elegance and the style that you get from wooden
railings is nothing compared to other materials. Some time the
light reflection from all sources disturbs you. Wood does not
reflect light as much as steel does, a kind of sereneness, and
tranquility that you get from use of wood, you cannot get from
any other material.
Advantages Of Wood Railings
There are many advantages of wooden railings
particularly indoor railings.
- The elegance of wood is unmatched by anything else.
- Contrary to popular belief, wood railings are maintenance free, particularly those used
indoors. A nice polishing, a coat of lacquer while installing,
is all that is required, and no further maintenance is required.
- Another advantage of wood is that it massive in construction
and will last for several decades if not centuries.
- With its wide top, children (and some times grown ups too!)
enjoy the wood railing sliding down the railing for coming down
instead of coming down by steps. Oh what fun!
Choice Of Wood For Railings
Wooden stock rails, balusters and newel can be made in Burma
teak, Cherry, Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Walnut, Mahogany,
Poplar, Beech, Yellow Pine, Ash or Cedar. Many manufacturers can
give you the top rail design that you desire or dream.
Manufacturers use CAD systems, CNC machinery, and hand artistry,
to give you any rail profile, baluster turnings or newel
post.
Care Of Wood In General, Railing In Particular
Wood when properly treated and cared for requires no
maintenance. The major enemy of wood is the life forms capable
of living and thriving on wood. The microscopic life starts
first and then it is like a jungle, where the food chain starts.
Therefore if you treat wood with chemicals to stop the growth of
micro-organisms and keep water away from it, the possibility of
wood rot gets much less. Regular cleaning, annual polishing,
waxing when the wood railing looks dull is all that is required
for caring the wood articles and railing in general. Out-door
railings may require painting to keep them looking new.
How to Keep Your Boxer - or any Dog - Healthy…
Feed him a balanced diet.
Additional tips from owners include:
- Give an occasional yogurt treat
- Ask your vet about giving Boxers calcium tablets as they could have some problems later on in life!
- Keep him comfortable so his immune system can remain strong.
- Boxers are shorthaired and sensitive to extreme elements of the weather and thus must be kept a housedog. His shortened muzzle also makes hot and humid weather uncomfortable for him.
- Give Boxers lots of exercise and regularly.
- Remember that he is a big and strong breed and requires physical outlets for his boundless energy and high play/prey drive.
- Walk them three times a day or have play sessions. Provide plenty of space for them to bounce around. You want to keep their spirit up and not break it or they won’t be the dogs you fall in love with in the first place. Healthy and happy Boxers are a joy to live with.
- Make a breeder your friend.
- Keep in touch with the breeder who sold you the Boxer. The breeder can advise you about care and health matters that are unique to the breed. Any Boxer breeder, for that matter, can be an invaluable ally to you throughout your Boxer\’s life.
- Guard your Boxer from fleas.
- Your Boxer has fleas if you find black specks in the fur or fleabite marks on the skin. A tip given by an owner is to give your Boxer garlic daily to prevent fleas.
- Boxers catch fleas from other animals. It is an every day problem that, at some time or another, you can expect to encounter in your Boxer.
- The fleas only go to the Boxer to feed on its blood.
- Fleas mostly live and multiply in your home. The comfortable living - central heating, double-glazing and, best of all, the fitted carpet - we create for ourselves and our Boxers also work best for the fleas.
- De-worm your puppy every month and your adult Boxer, every six months.

Cisco CCNA Certification: Don’t Overreact To Exam Version Ch
CCNA Certification: Don’t Overreact To Exam Version Changes
Whenever a Cisco exam version changes, there’s always a lot of chatter about it on the web. The CCNA exams are no exception.
One comment I see often goes like this: ” I hear Cisco is going to change Intro / ICND / CCNA exam versions soon, so I’m not going to start studying yet. I’ll wait until the new exam comes out.” Do not let this happen to you. While some large publishers would have you think these exams change tremendously from one version to another (”updated for the latest exams!”), the simple fact is that the Intro, ICND, and CCNA Composite exams simply don’t change much from version to version.Sure, the questions change.
The only people who should be nervous about that are those who are trying to braindump their way to a technical certification. The topics covered on the CCNA exams don’t change much at all.
You know you’re going to have to demonstrate knowledge of LAN switching, ISDN, Frame Relay, routing protocol behavior, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and OSPF. Perhaps some of the more advanced topics will change, but these will be minor changes at best. Cisco announces these changes on their website well in advance (and you’ll read about them here, too), so you won’t be left with no time to study.
Whatever you do, don’t fall into the “version change”. Don’t spend $100 - $150 to hurry up and take an exam before you’re ready because of an upcoming version change. When you’re ready, you’re ready. Time spent learning is never wasted. Get started NOW.

Maximizing Your Article Marketing
So, you have just written a beautifully scripted, well researched, content
rich, keyword placed, grammatically perfect article, and you’ve got absolutely
zero additional hits to your website! What has gone wrong? Well, here’s a quick
checklist of some of the internet article marketing tricks you may have missed
out on:
Did you remember to include your name?
You’d be amazed at the number of people who write great website articles and
then find that all their internet article marketing efforts full flat because
(a) they either didn’t include or forgot to include their name in the by-line of
the article; or (b) they posted the article on a site where accreditation for
the article is not allowed. Keep in mind, if the reader doesn’t know who you
are, how are they going to find you?
Did you provide a URL?
You should always remember that people are inherently lazy. When it comes to the
Internet, this counts doubly so! As a result, when you submit your article for
publication, make sure you maximize your article marketing potential by
including a URL to your website so all the reader needs to do is to click and be
redirected directly to your site.
Have you included your details?
Although not necessarily beneficial to increasing the traffic to your website
directly, many readers feel more familiar and trusting with a writer who
includes a little information about themselves in the resource box at the foot
of the article. This way the reader get learn something about you and a
relationship of trust can be built up between you and the reader. In turn, it
likely that the reader will be more likely to visit your website as a trusting,
familiar, and friendly person. Exactly the type of potential customer you’ll be
looking for!
Did you maximize your article marketing exposure?
The art of article marketing is not only writing a great article, but also
making sure you place that article on a site that gives it maximum exposure.
Consequently, there is absolutely no point putting all your effort into a great
piece of work, if you have done no research about the website where it will be
posted. Because, if the website where the article is posted gets no hits, then
good or bad your article isn’t going to get many referrals to your site - which
is the whole point of article marketing! What’s more, where possible, you should
always consider maximizing your article marketing potential by placing the same
well-written article on as many different publishing websites as you possibly
can. Hopefully this will increase the referrals and traffic to your website.
Have you frightened the reader?
Even when you have written a great piece, the way you structure the layout of your article can have a dramatic affect on your reader. For example, if you have
a resource box that details your website URL and credentials, you need to make
sure that the space this takes up is no more than 1/5th of your total article
space. To do otherwise will usually result in the layout of your article having
a negative impact on the reader - especially the reader’s first impression. As
such, your well written article will go unread.
Maximizing referrals to your website via implementing a successful article
marketing strategy is not overly difficult. You do, however, need to give it
some thought. And, having written a great piece of work in the first place,
isn’t it worth the extra effort to make sure you get that piece working for you
by directing as much traffic to your website as possible?
